Volunteers
Volunteers are vital to our ability to provide the support our students and staff need, to complete work projects and to give our students additional exposure to role models skilled in a variety of professional fields.
We attempt to match our volunteers with activities that fit their desires and skills so they feel that their time and talents are being maximized and making a significant impacts in the lives of urban youth and families.
Here are ways to help:
Tutor
reading, technology and or math
Coach
Soccer or Basketball
Teach a class in our extended day school
art, music, sports, drams, foreign language, community service, bike repair and resale, rocket building
Join a SET TEAM (School Excellence Team) and share your professional knowledge with our staff
education, finance, human resources, technology, law, construction, social work and counseling.
Special Work Projects
Painting, small construction, landscaping
Fundraising Projects and Networking:
Help spread the word to others who might support or programs or scholarship funds
Help conduct a auction or tournament that will increase our database and provide funding
Share names of friends that we could contact who might be willing to learn more about supporting the school
