Investing in Today's Youth Impacting Generations to Come (article #1)

March 2006

One of our current families children previously attended an expensive private school, but the burden of the high tuition became too much, and they had to look for alternatives. What made their search more challenging was their children's unique situation. Although his family provided love and care for him since he was eight months old, they did not have the legal right to make the decision as to where their child would attend school until age 8. He had been attending a public school and unfortunately was not receiving the safe, structured and nurturing context necessary to development. After the parent talked to Mrs. Weiss she knew that BCS would provide the structure, nurture and commitment needed for her son. After being in the school for almost a year, the impact was obvious. He smiles more, his self-esteem has improved and he is progressing academically. As a result of the staff's sensitivity to the student's emotional, social, academic and spiritual needs he has become the happy and joyful child that his parents want him to be.
