The purpose of the summer journal is to provide a continuum to the formal educational process. Journal entries may include a recap of the day, poetry, stories, and summer vacation days. Please encourage your child to begin this process today!

1st Grade: The first grade students are to submit a 25 entry picture/drawing journal. The picture/drawing journal must contain one sentence describing the picture.

2nd & 3rd Grade: Second and third graders are to submit a 25 entry one paragraph journal and must include a picture/drawing that relates to the journal entry.

4th & 5th Grade: Fourth and fifth graders are to submit a 25 entry one page handwritten journal.

Only composition books can be used as journals. The cover of the journal must include the students name, grade, and Baltimore Christian School. Three ring binders, spiral notebooks, etc. is unacceptable.
